Handy Middle School - Project
Renovation and construction started at Handy Middle School in early 2008. Work will continue year round for the next two years.
$14,500,000 dollars has been allocated for the building renovation.
Included in the plan is a 2000 square foot addition to the food service area and modifications to the cafeteria. Changes to the cafeteria will resulting in a more effiecient serving and fewer lunch periods. This will directly impact class scheduling, providing more time in the classroom for students.
Renovations also include new computer labs on each floor, updated science classrooms and renovated general classrooms.
